iOS install (iPhone & iPad)
1. Download the .mcpack in Safari
Tap the download button above from your iPhone or iPad. Safari prompts you to confirm the download — tap Download.
2. Open the file
Tap the Downloads icon in Safari, or open the Files app and navigate to your Downloads folder. Tap the .mcpack file.
3. Share to Minecraft
iOS asks which app should open the file. Tap Minecraft. Minecraft launches and displays a green "Pack imported successfully" message.
4. Activate in your world
Create a new world or edit an existing one. Scroll to Resource Packs in the world settings. Tap the X-Ray pack in Available to move it to Active.
Android install
1. Download the .mcpack in Chrome
Tap Download above. Chrome may warn that the file type is unusual — tap Keep. The .mcpack arrives in your Downloads folder.
2. Tap the file
Tap the download notification, or open a file manager and find the .mcpack in Downloads. Tap it. Android routes the file to Minecraft and imports it.
3. If nothing happens
Some Android file managers do not associate .mcpack with Minecraft by default. Long-press the file, pick Open With, and select Minecraft from the list.
4. Activate in your world
Same as iOS — edit the world, scroll to Resource Packs, tap the pack to Active, save.
Frequently asked questions
Does the X-Ray pack work on Minecraft PE (Pocket Edition)?
Yes. Minecraft PE is the same codebase as Bedrock Edition on mobile. The .mcpack file imports by tapping it in your browser or Files app, and Minecraft handles the install automatically.
How do I install the .mcpack file on iPhone or iPad?
Download the .mcpack in Safari. When the download completes, tap the file (either from the Downloads popup or the Files app). iOS prompts you to open it in Minecraft — tap Minecraft and it imports the pack. Activate it per-world from Resource Packs in world settings.
How do I install the .mcpack file on Android?
Download the .mcpack using Chrome (or any browser). Tap the completed download notification, or open the Downloads folder and tap the .mcpack file. Android routes it to Minecraft automatically. If it opens in a different app, long-press the file and pick 'Open with Minecraft'.
Will X-Ray on mobile drain my battery faster?
No. Resource packs do not add rendering cost — they actually reduce it slightly because transparent blocks skip some draw calls. Your battery life should be unchanged.
Can I use X-Ray on Minecraft Education Edition mobile?
Education Edition is a separate app with its own pack system. The .mcpack here is built for regular Minecraft Bedrock Edition. Education Edition packs have to be side-loaded by a teacher's account.
