Privacy Policy
This page explains what data minecraftxray.com collects, what it does not, and the cookies used to serve ads. The short version: you do not need an account to download a pack, we do not ask for personal information, and our income comes from ads rather than from selling data.
Who runs this site
minecraftxray.com is an independent fan project that distributes free X-Ray resource packs for Minecraft Java and Bedrock Edition. It is not affiliated with Mojang Studios or Microsoft. The site is hosted on Vercel. You can reach us through the contact page.
Information we collect
We do not run sign-up forms, logins, newsletters, or checkout flows, so we do not directly collect names, email addresses, or payment details. Downloading a pack does not require an account.
The limited data involved comes from two places:
- Server and hosting logs. Like nearly every website, our host (Vercel) records standard request data such as your IP address, browser type, the page requested, and a timestamp. This is used to keep the site running, diagnose errors, and measure traffic in aggregate. We do not use it to identify individual visitors.
- Aggregate analytics. We look at which pack versions and guides are most requested so we know where to spend testing time. These figures are counts and trends, not profiles of named people.
Cookies and advertising
We show ads through Google AdSense to keep the packs and the site free. Advertising involves cookies and similar technologies:
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and other sites on the internet.
- You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of a third party vendor's use of cookies for personalized advertising at aboutads.info or, in Europe, youronlinechoices.eu.
For more detail on how Google handles data when you use sites that use its services, see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
Managing cookies
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time. Most browsers let you refuse third-party cookies or clear existing ones. Doing so will not stop you from downloading packs or reading guides, though you may still see ads, just less relevant ones.
Children's privacy
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. We do not have accounts or forms that would gather such information. If you believe a child has provided personal data through any third-party service shown on this site, contact us and we will help direct the request to the appropriate provider.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, data protection laws such as the GDPR (Europe) and CCPA (California) give you rights over personal data, including the right to access, correct, or delete it, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. Because we do not maintain accounts or personal records ourselves, most of these requests relate to the advertising and hosting providers named above. We are happy to point you to the right place. Reach us through the contact page.
Third-party links
The site links to external resources such as the Minecraft Wiki, Discord, and ore-distribution references. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites. Review their policies separately.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site changes, for example if we add or remove a service. The date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be posted on this page.
