How the Bedrock 1.16.x pack works
Minecraft Bedrock uses the .mcpack format for resource packs. Tap or double-click the file and Minecraft imports it automatically — there is no file manager detour and no mod loader to install. On mobile, the system file handler launches Minecraft straight into the import screen; on Windows 10/11 the UWP app handles the same handshake.
Once imported, the pack lives in your global Resource Packs library. Apply it per-world from the world settings screen so you can leave it off for your vanilla worlds and switch it on only when you want to mine.
Bedrock X-Ray packs do not disable achievements and do not flip the world to "experimental" mode — they are a plain texture swap. That makes them safe for progression worlds and Realms.

Frequently asked questions
Will the Bedrock 1.16.x pack disable achievements?
No. Resource packs on Bedrock Edition do not disable achievements on any platform. Only behavior packs and experimental gameplay features disable them.
Can I use the 1.16.x pack on mobile (iOS or Android)?
Yes. Download the .mcpack file on your phone, tap it, and Minecraft imports the pack automatically. Then activate it in your world settings under Resource Packs. Same flow on iPad and Android tablets.
How do I use the X-Ray pack on Xbox, PlayStation, or Switch for 1.16.x?
Consoles cannot sideload resource packs directly. The workaround is Realms: apply the pack on a Windows 10/11 or mobile device, join that world as a Realm, and invite your console account. The pack travels with the Realm.
Does this pack conflict with other Bedrock packs on 1.16.x?
Only if another pack replaces the same block textures. If you already use a shader or texture overhaul, load the X-Ray pack ABOVE it in the Active list so X-Ray's transparent textures take priority.
